Waterbom goes Net Zero 2033, the most sustainable waterpark in the world!

Waterbom is going net zero by 2033 to become the world’s most sustainable waterpark!

Since launching our in-park sustainability program, Karmic Returns, in 2016, Waterbom has been focused on our commitment to our environmental goals. Now, we’re thrilled to announce our ambitious goal of achieving net zero emissions by 2033 as part of our ongoing journey toward a greener future.

Our CEO, Sayan Gulino, has worked closely with our sustainability consultant, Eco-Mantra (https://eco-mantra.com/), to make this vision a reality. We’re taking decisive action to reduce 90% of our emissions across Scope 1, 2, and 3 through equipment upgrades for greater efficiency, sourcing eco-friendly materials, and transitioning to renewable energy sources wherever possible. For emissions we can’t eliminate, we’re investing in credible carbon removal credits to offset our impact.

In the face of rising global temperatures and escalating climate crises, the urgency to act has never been clearer. We believe that every company has a role to play in shaping a sustainable future. Through our dedication, we aim not only to lead by example but also to inspire others to join us on this vital journey toward a low-carbon future.

With the power of the collective, we can do this!
